
Ostmoderne shows Buildings from the post-war socialist era still largely unknown in the West and widely regarded as unwanted Relics from the past in the East after 1989. Interesting for me to see some confided Architecture like the Trainstation in Poprad Tatry built by Milan Novák.

Hungarian architect Áron Losonczi has combined concrete with optical fiber from Schott to a new light transmitting building material called LitraCon. “Shadows on the lighter side will appear with sharp outlines on the darker one. Even the colours remain the same. This special effect creates the general impression that the thickness and weight of a concrete wall will disappear.” explained Losonczi. Read more at Optics.
